2008 Current Events
Please Note: All wogs are considered "open to non-members" since they are held in public places. We also alternate between "closed" Discussion Meetings (which are open to members only) and "open" Discussion Meetings (which are open to both members and non-members"). Each Discussion meeting will be described as either being open or closed.
August 13 (6:00 pm - 11:00 pm) Poly BBQ and Bonfire!
Come on out and party with us! We're having a group BBQ and bonfire, Wednesday August 13th, starting around 6 pm at the Como Park Fire Rings in St. Paul. The fire rings are located about half a block east of the intersection of Hamline Ave. N. and Como Ave, on the north side of the street. (Note: Como Ave. becomes Horton Ave. inside the park) The park closes at 11 pm, so it shouldn't be too late a night for folks working the next day.
This is a potluck party! Things you should bring include:
- something to grill, if you so desire
- a side dish or dessert to share
- your own drinks (no alcohol - park regulations)
- firewood to pile on the bonfire
- a sense of fun!
We'll try to be at the the center fire ring, furthest back from the road. You can park along the road.
If people are willing (and my cat-herding skills are up to it), I'd like for us to take a group photo to post on our yahoogroups website for sure, and on the main website of our group (www.mnpoly.org) if possible.
